The reason I run Mint on my old Eee PC netbook is the overhead. It's lightweight compared to Ubuntu as I run Mint XFCE as nearly 10 year old Atom processor. Work is Win 10 on a Zenbook. DOS, yes started with that or earlier in fact. Radio Shack TRS80 and a cassette tape for data.
