Nice, John. What I am really looking for is indication that 3 or even 2 37v panels in series will, or will not, kill a 150v rated MPPT controller. The VOC seems to be what kills the controller. If VOC doubles under ideal conditions, then I can't even have two panels in series, and I can't charge the 48v bank with nominal output with only one panel.
Nice blog, and nice boat, though. Sucks to have to get rid of her but there is a good home for her out there somewhere.
