[Electric Boats] Anyone know the max voltage input on a Minn Kota 12V riptide?

I have a Minn Kota 12V 55 pound thrust riptide saltwater trolling motor and would like to know what is the maximum voltage it can handle without blowing the digital maximizer pwm electronics? I can assume it is ok to hook it up to a deep cycle which is charged by an alternator, so it can probably handle 13.5 to 14V but what I would like is to hook it up to a 10p4s LiMn (Lithium Manganeese) battery back which would output about 16.4 volts fully charged and cut off at 2.5 volts per cell or 10 volts. I don't know if the 12V Minn Kota would smoke at 16.4 volts or just run happily. With the slight drop in the cable and the internal resistance of the LiMn, it would probably be more like 15.5 volts when the Minn Kota was pulling 50 amps.

Anyone? Tech support at Minn Kota was beyond useless.
