I'm not wanting to rock the boat; however, the spreadsheet just didn't seem correct for a PMDC motor (mars). I've modified it, and it's now based on the performance curves.
The two I was most interested in are RPM vs Torque (to generate a gear ratio) and Current vs Torque. Battery prediction is based on the torque required to spin the propeller.

These numbers appear to be a lot more realistic to me. I am very interested in any feedback (positive or negative). I did leave Mr. Rasberry's worksheet alone (mostly), and input the data for the mars motor and my vessel.
This should also avoid the whole 70 Volts/RPM vs 50 Volts/RPM issue that I read about in previous threads.
