yes, I get props changed in pitch, cup, can be trimmed or configured to shape for special application. I like a bit more cup for instance, to hold water better without big diameter. On mine we reduced pitch to fit the best amps at cruise speed, got longer battery life at given speed. I take the prop to him, tell him what is needed and return to the customer. If painting is desired, the shop does that. All I need is the prop, type of hull plus a bit more specific info. and instructions – as you would for any outboard shop.

Thanks Cal for your comments on outboards. The Michigan Wheel Marine Master Catalog, which you can download from their website, has a great listing of props and gear ratio by make/model/year.
I found that an Evinrude/Johnson circa 1980 9.9 or 15 hp (apparently the same lower end for both) has a gear ratio listed as 2.42:1, which is right about what I calculated as a good starting point. In addition, 3 blade props for those are available as 10 x 7 which seems like a good starting point for my boat. Those are 13 spline hubs.__._,_.___
