[Electric Boats] Re: Prop Notes

Thanks Cal for your comments on outboards.  The Michigan Wheel Marine Master Catalog, which you can download from their website, has a great listing of props and gear ratio by make/model/year.

I found that an Evinrude/Johnson circa 1980 9.9 or 15 hp (apparently the same lower end for both) has a gear ratio listed as 2.42:1, which is right about what I calculated as a good starting point.  In addition, 3 blade props for those are available as 10 x 7  which seems like a good starting point for my boat.  Those are 13 spline hubs.

Also looking at the listing for their props there are many props with 13 spline hubs but I don't know if the same diameter.  Does anyone happen to know?

Somewhere, maybe in something you wrote,  did I read that there is someone that can change the hub to match up a prop?
