[Electric Boats] Re: Lithium Energy Storage

Matt,

I sent an email to Corvus asking for some extra information; never got a reply, so I will ask again

Could you send the group a brochure on what batteries are recommended for an Electric Yacht style set up. We would also like to see the BMS at work.. showing its output on a laptop or tablet device (iPad or Android pad).
We would also like to see a cost benefit analysis of these batteries over other lithiums on the market. Apparently the Corvus units are quite a lot more money than other lithium based units, so what makes them worth while?
How are they better than the Dow Kokum units?
What are the charging recommendations and so on. How quickly could they be recharged at a dock? How does the charging system work for a bank of batteries?
Does it need to be purchased separately?

A number of us are looking for a soup to nuts system that incorporates solar/dockside/generator charging + motors + controllers + charging system + monitoring system + connectors all from one vendor that could guarantee a certain level of performance and longevity.

The website is missing all these things, and the devil is in the details.

Thanks
Bill
