If the inverter boards in the Hondas were not designed for paralleling,
simply hooking the two outputs together could lead to 'interesting' results.
Hence I see this as a 'latent' feature you 'activate' with the over
priced paralleling box.
And as far as I can tell from the circuits in the manual, the
paralleling box is what you suggest - 3 wires with banana plugs and
nothing else, so the inverter electronics must be able to recognise the
power source from the other inverter and sync up to it.
