RE: [Electric Boats] battery charger

Don,

Do you happen to know if they are rated as a power supply?  I’ve currently got the DualPro Quad 15 amp charger now.  It is not rated as a power supply as it cannot shed heat fast enough so if you use it in conjunction with a small generator for extended motoring it begins to shut down after about an hour.  I’m looking for a replacement that is rated as a power supply but has the 4 battery individual charge capability.  Looked through the website but nothing mentioned.  If you don’t happen to know I’ll contact the company next.

Thanks,

Stephen

Merrick, That is the one I use, and it does the job very well.  The charge state of each battery is shown on the charger by means of percentage charge.  When the battery is fully charged the display will have a solid green light.  I have found no fault to date with the one I purchased three months ago.

My Zivan NG1 charger died after a short, easy life.

I am considering the ProSport 48v 10amp/battery - actually 4 chargers in one with a hookup for each battery.

Anyone have experience with this charger?
