I am converting my Pearson 300 to electric. Have been looking at 36V golf cart motor with three 12V batteries. Also considering Electric Yacht motors. The boat is a full keel, shallow draft motor sailer with about a 6.9 knot hull speed. Need the motor primarily for getting underway and returning (backing down under sail is possible but a lot of work) and for those days when the wind does not want to cooperate.
Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.
