Can I get some feedback on reliability for these two versions of the Etek and Manta motors ?
Im thinking the brushless Etek is quieter, but if that 3-phase controller fails, youre screwed.
The brushed Manta motor would make that grinding sound, but if your controller fails you just have to hot wire the battery to make it to port.
This for an outboard motor gas-to-electric conversion in salt water.
