Thanks Denny,

That makes perfect sense (I should remember that you, like my wife, are always right :)- the original description sounded like people expected the boat to magically hold speed when actually you slow down pretty hard. A few amps increase I can see - will be interesting to measure next time I'm up against the Brisbane Hurricane.
