Agreed - 5amps (@144V=720W) is inside my ficticious X-prize ratio of 10:1 (he claims 40amps @ cruising speed, so in ~8 hours gets enough power for 1 hour of motoring). That big fast hull, direct-drive motor (and likely 16" or bigger prop) is helping a lot.
But then there's house power...I would bet net realized is 1 amp positive on a $30K drivetrain.
