It helps you get a handle on Ah, discharge rate and differing Peukert effect and what capacity, particularly if any lead acid tech you really have at your particular use and load profile.
The joy of lithium which effectively has no Peukert in a sense due to flat voltage profile under load compared to lead tech and so little internal resistance has to be balanced against capital risk, capital cost and in my case will I still even be alive when I run out of lithium cycles vs actual boat battery cycle usage ;)
