Hi John,
My boat came from an inland lake in Texas - bought it on Grapevine, and sailed on Ray Roberts and Lake Lewisville before moving to the Florida Keys. It is a TMI 30 (Texas Marine International).
My use here is a lot like what you describe, but eventually we'll be cruising Bahamas or Carib, so I'm trying to make sure whatever I install will work for that, too.
Thanks for your comments on different manufacturers. That's just the kind of thing I want to learn from this group!
