[Electric Boats] Re: Is Marine Certification Required?

 

Hi Kirk,
You can rest assured that they are concerned about gasoline vapors.

Propane is specified in the definition because the testing for ignition protected components is done in an atmosphere containing propane "since it is much easier to get repeatable results using this mixture rather than gasoline vapor." (quote from last paragraph of page 10).
