Hi John,

Luckily, most modern controllers that we see today, like the Sevcon Gen4, handle that for you. The controller not only does the conversion of DC into 3 phase AC controlled by phase timing, duration and voltage, it will do the process backwards, converting the motor's varied AC output (depending on motor speed) back into usable DC.

Pretty slick, huh.
