Calling all forum members who have an electric boat that can 'go the distance' to participate in the 12 Annual Wye Island Electric Boat Marathon in St. Michaels Maryland, Friday Oct 5th 2012.
It's a 24 mile course cutting across some open Chesapeake Bay water, then circumnavigating beautiful Wye Island and back to St. Michaels. All types of boats from kayaks, canoes, launches, catamarans, pontoons, runabouts, and some too unique to describe have run the race. Winning times used to be in the 6-7mph range, but have now beat 10mph twice.
