Hi Colin
I have been pondering the same question for some time. It occurs to
me that it would not be too difficult to arrange a small servo system
set to monitor the battery voltage and to connect to a model control
servo motor. The servo motor would be connected to the throttle
linkage on an IC engine driving a PM generator. The system would be
arranged to apply more throttle if the battery voltage falls below 14
volts and to reduce power above that figure. It is simple from an
electronics point of view. Has anyone tried this or similar?
Cheers
