Re: [Electric Boats] Re: Turnkey package for Sailboat

On our Albrrg 30 We have a turnkey system from Electric Yacht. On lake ontario no real currents to worry about. 4 to 5 hours at 3.5 knots is not a problem. We have a 200 ah Lifeline agm pack at 48 volts. Last fall with the pack at the end of its 4th year we had to motor home. After 6 + hours at 3.5 kts we got to the marina with 35% left in the batteries. The system we have is the 100ibl. Lifeline say you can on ocasion run the batteries down to 20% left. We have only done this 4 times in 4 years.. Electric is so much esiser when docking.
Good luck with whatever system you decide on.

As to the usage model, a sedate three or four knots in protected water for five hours or so would be lovely.
