I have posted this before. I have a 23 foot well craft cabin cruiser and installed 2 - 55 pound thrust trolling motors for slow speed maneuvering in harbour. Top speed was just over 3 miles per hour with gas power plant in place; basically trolling motor speed. Ran a fairly long time on 2 group 31 batteries. To cruise I would pick 1 or 2 - 4 kw Torqeedos and a bunch of batteries in the removed engine compartment. Slow speed wallowing was always there and considered normal. Another poster a few years ago added a hull extension platform bringing the hull lines up and in to provide some semblance of a displacement hull which I'm sure would add efficiency.
