Hi! Thanks for the info! I use a 3:1 reduction now. My thinking was the electric will want to spin faster than the old diesel. I did not reach hull speed, so I re-pitched the prop from 10" to 11.5". The boat had better response, but top speed did not change much, although it is adequate, at around 5 kt.s. The controller stops at 90 amps. Not a real problem, but I would like to maximize what I have.I think the heat issue did develop after I re-pitched the prop, so I believe you may be correct. Thanks again for the info!
