I put a Thunderstruck kit in our Tartan 27-2 almost 4 years ago now. It was called the 7.5kw kit then. It was been working very well for me. I replaced the throttle last spring. The old one was a box with a slide switch. I do not recommend that one, if they still offer it. The new one is a Curtis unit mounted below deck. So far so good with that. Curtis has a good name in the field. The service I recieved from Thunderstruck has been great! No issues with motor or controller. I did find if I run the motor against the wind and current for a while, the controller does get hot, so i need to add a fan for those conditions. I have the heatsink on the controller already.
