Re: [Electric Boats] Re: cost of Valence Lithium batteries... Right place, right time

ah, weel , good on ya , JB , that'll "keep yer pincil sharpened" , eh ?
yes , I'd imagine there are various outfits facing financial hardship , where an astute fellow could "belly up to the bar" and make off "like a bandit"eh?
He, he  ! Weeel ,  for some good ol' american slang , always promotes a bit of fine jocularity , eh ?
now Eric , has an idea  that is particularly pregnant, here. by combining cells , he builds an "array system" to whatever spec  his motor or ancillary equipment needs ,
 ingenious and practical as well.

Well, I stumbled upon a fantastic deal and bought all 12 for $1,000 (or, $83.33 each). 10 of them were brand new and in the box while two of them had been used in tests and to power some LEDs. It was too good of a deal to pass up, so of course I jumped on it. Worst case, they will be used as house batteries, but they are my traction bank.

Where did I buy them? There was a startup hybrid car company that went belly up and bought then during their house-cleaning sale. No way to replicate it, sorry all.

Like they say in Vegas, I'd rather be lucky than good!

Ciao!
