They can be bought as one or in smaller capacities – you can mix n match – just wondering if this is getting price competitive with PB.
That isn't rhetoric just an offer that came over my desk from a battery company
The 24v50ah was just a convenient spec. The capacity and voltage of each battery can be arranged as you wish.
Re the physics lesson it doesn't take account of the actual C rates or capacity available from Li vs Pb. IME a comparable lithium cell has far more continuous output than a lead or nickel cell. The harder they are pushed the further ahead they go. And in low C apps like displacement boats they can go to 90% discharge if only because they are balanced during charging unlike lead and nickel which rely on a degree of over and under charge to get a balance and have more variation across cells.
Given I have seen it – the battery dealers here should have too and the product should be widespread within the next 12 months …..

Andrew, are you talkin 1 $800 24vdc battery, or what?
I am , for my vessel, thinkin , 8pcs , individual 6v batteries , $ 300 each , batteries of 6vdc
strapped down into under the saloon floor the keel , benefiting balance, and wired into arrays accordingly.
so to answer you retoric question , sounds great , cept , I think I need 48 v , for a E.Y. system as I understand it .
so . . . we have Mike , and George , whom we can , thankfully ask , for a wee physics lesson then mates!
perhaps maybe this other fellow, Aaron Vivian , will sign in as he said he would and further enlighten our little minds , eh ?
weeel , I must indulge my better half in going out to dinner , so we must resume this convo on the morrow , eh mates?

How does and $800 24v 50ah LiFe sound? Keep in mind that similar to at least a 100ah lead acid battery
These should not be too far away
