I have ordered the gearboxes as extra to use the clutch as the means of engagement from idle to run. I also have a disconnect in the shaft close to the  electric engine so the shaft between the  diesel engine and the counter shaft is not rotating unless required for drive or stationary generation (while at Anchor)
 The prop shaft also has a disconnect device to allow rotation of the electric motor from the diesel while  boat is stationary. The Prop shaft can be locked stationary while disconnected from the engine if required.
These engines are two cylinder and the vibration level are higher than multi cylinder and hence require vibration isolators and universal joints in the drive line to prevent transmission to the hull.
 I am looking at fitting an extra flywheel to reduce torsional  vibrations in the drive line. This is reduced by using v belt pulleys between the counter shaft and the electric motor / Propeller shaft. May not be required; will see when we commission without additional flywheel (hard to fit).

That is some top drawer components. Do you have a link for the 20 hp 55 kg diesel? Sounds like a good engine for DC charging of battery banks.

www.enstrol.si The EMRAX motor is 11.7 kg and can be used continually up to 40KW, peak 60kw with voltages up to 300volt. Several controllers  are avialable for this motor, see web site for details.I  am using Piktroniks SAC41 Water cooled units (www.piktronik.si) Slovenia.
 I am using 144 volt  160AH  life batteries and expect 25KW  per engine continuous, (water cooled) backed up with a 20hp al water cooled diesel weighing 55kg (gearbox also)  two units one in each hull.
46 solar panels @80 watts and two  Mppt solar controller with 5KW inverters  w soft start for in house operation. (air con). House battery 12 volt 1200AH,  144/12 volt dc/dc converters as well as solar and twin wind generators.
can assist with sourcing of all components if you need. I purchase direct from China manufacturers.
My lagoon currently weighs 13 tonne and will be 14 tonne when converted
Prop size is 24 inch RH 22 pitch 85 % area  three blade and expect a cruise speed of 10/11 knotts @ 1200 rpm on the motor
