[Electric Boats] MARS BLDCmotor

I got a 28 turn MARS BLDC to try out and found it worked exactly like my old 20 turn I am using so will offer it here before posting on EBay. It's brand new aside from about 30 minutes of test run time.

P/N ME0201014201, date code 090430. This is the air cooled design good for 100 amps continuous but has 28 turn windings so runs with less speed and more torque than the normal 20 turn motor. HP output is the same. The exterior, wiring connections, mounting holes, shaft size, etc is exactly the same as the common 20 turn motor sold by Thunderstruck and others.

With a Sevcon PMAC (not included) on 48 volts it turns 2400 rpm with no load and 1480 rpm loaded to 94 amps. 1500 rpm might be suitable for direct drive with a smallish prop, maybe 10" or 11" dia and 9-11" pitch, depending on how easily driven your hull is.

Price $325 with free ground shipping to the lower 48.

Note you must use a sped controller made specifically for a brushless motor. Sevcon and MARS units are available at Thunderstruck-ev.com and others.

Please email me off list if interested.
