Very good idea they are called Kortz nozzels and have been use a lot on tugs and trawlers you can get 15 - 20% extra thrust . The nozzel cuts down on blade tip cavitation the section thru the nozzels with a foil shape similar the a wing section is the key to the performance

I'm interested in small (12-18ft) electric boats for fishing, play etc, and like the cost of trolling motors.  I saw this today which is an interesting improvement on the trolling motor concept.
