Re: [Electric Boats] Beware Zivan Chargers

Feedback: Always good to reward good business practices. Add to the good guys Kipoint from Taiwan.

http://kipoint.com.tw/

They do chargers and inverters. I got two $200 48v 20A chargers for my e-car with flooded 8v batteries. One of them failed 6 months to a year later, and after some helpful/investigatory emailing, Ivy Chiu sent me new guts, free of charge. I did the surgery... no soldering, it was all circuit board modular.

Now I use these very units in my sailboat, since I went to SLA 12v batteries in my e-car. SLAs must be charged individually, or with a BatteryManagementSystem. I use ten $30 10A 12V smartchargers now for the e-car.
