Also interesting is this 48 volt 160 lb 100 Amp generator from Mastervolt:
 
One negative I see in the specs is that it requires a 400 amp minimum battery bank.  If I am reading the specs correctly.  That's a lot of weight if you are using lead acid.  Also not sure if it would be easily mounted on a sailboat. Anyone familiar with it?  And then there is the all important spec $$$$.

Has this new battery been assessed for it's use in electric propulsion yet? I searched the messages and did not find a reference?
