If you have a smaller bank than that, the charge-acceptance limit means you waste a lot of amps/diesel. But with lithium, high-quality SLA, etc you can go for a smaller bank since the charge acceptance is higher. I would also bet that number is a carry-over (typo) from a 12V system - no way that charger puts out 100amps @48V - so it's probably 25amps @48V and a 100AH FLA bank would be fine.
