More of interest the designed for duty cycle. UPS batteries spend most of their time float charged and cycle very infrequently. The cells are designed to withstand the long times under float charge more than charge/discharge cycles of a traction battery.
The 20Kva UPS in my computer room has only a few times in years been actually called upon to actually supply a load and only on one occasion did it run still low volt shutdown and even then we had anticipated this and had shed much of the load to get a longer runtime for the more critical stuff.
And on it's last 'PM' the vendor recommended the unit have all it's batteries swapped as they a 5 years old - even though all packs still pass self diagnostics. (The system regularly switches to battery and monitors the discharge voltage curves for 5 minutes to determine battery health on an ongoing basis)
That will be why you are finding what appear to be good batteries for sale 2nd hand - they have swapped them out as they are 5 years old, not that they have any faults.
But they may not like being used as traction batteries - hence the suggestion to very carefully check the specs.
