Just out of interest, what do our friends over the pond consider to be a big boat? I often refer to my sailing yacht as small, which it is but in the leisure world there's no definition.
So what is a large yacht? Technically and to do with coding and the Large Yacht Code it's:
Applicable to yachts which are 24 metres and over in load line length,
are in commercial use for sport or pleasure, do not carry cargo and do not carry more than 12 passengers. Ref:
https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/ly3-the-large-yacht-code
So what about us? I'd say the following. Yacht refers to power or sail. What do others say?
Small - up to 10m
Medium - up to 15m
Large - up to 24m
