Although Manzanita Micro features an integrated battery/BMS package, I am not familiar with it.
Their BMS features balancing resistors mounted on the PCB with a heatsink to dissipate the heat. In my application the BMS is remote from the battery. The heat they dissipate doesn't affect cell temperate.
The cell temperature is detected by a varistor fastened to one terminal on each cell. The cell voltage sensing is fused at 1A. The result is three leads from the BMS are needed for each cell.
The packaging of the circuit boards is up to the installer. This is not a drop-in installation suitable for novices.
