Not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean you have a Cat running constantly on motor at 2,000 Watts measured at the battery? If so the type of battery, size and chemistry will come down to your weight/volume desired, range needs at that power consumption and you'd size accordingly. To make any meaningful suggestion we'd need to know more data.
Cycle life of any battery goes up the less you discharge it.
