As TÛRANOR PlanetSolar is built as a prototype, each day we can discover new details of the technology on board. Yesterday we could take opportunity of excellent meteorological conditions to conclude several tests improving the efficiency of the boat. TÛRANOR PlanetSolar is fitted with a removable rudder, which may be taken out from the water to improve the ship's speed. Then to steer the ship, we have to balance properly some power on both engines. In fact, the increase of the ship's speed is not sufficient to compensate the lost due to zig zag course. We have also adjusted the parametres of the autopilot and improved its reaction time which enables us now to stay closer to the "ideal line".
