Hello,
We have one of the original 20' duffys that came with an outboard well. What I've done is go to the Torqeedo outboard with steering unit and it works quite well at least as well as the new steering pod setup but much simpler, less costly and really easy to trailer since no low hanging propeller and reduced leakage into hull since the boat has no flange or propshaft.
The Torqeedo is amazing and quiet. We are very happy with this setup and will post photos here
