Dear Members,
We are working on a 50 feet semi displacement power catamaran. I have read lots of comments and examples about electric and hybrid systems, and examined them. But I still do not have courage to apply this to our project as a propulsion system. Since I haven't found a similar example to our project.
Do anyone have idea or advise about this subject or may help?
The main characteristics are;
LOA:14,9m
B:6,14m
D:2,9m
T:0,85m
Disp: 21,37 t. (Departure Cond.)
Solar Panel Area: 34 m^2
For Resistance, basicly Slender Body Theorm provides following;
(with %55 efficieny)

(knots) (kN) (hp)

(The speed requirement and constant costs of material is not important if hybrid / electric system is feasible for operating.)
