[Electric Boats] Re: has anyone ever had experience with fin drive propulsion?

Joe,
You might want to talk to Harry Bryan, http://www.harrybryan.com . He has experimented with fin propulsion using a bicycle sprocket and chain. He can probably give you a lot of insight on how fin propulsion works. Converting his set up to electric drive would be simple. The caveat is that it is a leisurely mode of propulsion. Speed is not going to be an option.

Cheers,
Mike
