[Electric Boats] Re Voltage

Regarding shocks, I had a friend who was a TV technician, and he had the idea that those who work with electricity might build up a resistance to it. Where he worked there was an older technician who could contact a live source, and then pull his finger away, with an arcing showing between the finger and the source! This was in the UK, and the voltage was involved regular mains, 240 v AC.
Also, I have known people who have been severely burned with AC, and unable to free themselves. So it seems that although it might be on AVERAGE easier to detach from AC, it might not always be the case.
I have also seen a person get a good 'belt' from a couple of car batteries in series, so that would be 24 v DC.
My point is not to trust that the effects will always be the same for each person, or each situation.
As said, insulation is the key, and you can add awareness to that.
