[Electric Boats] Progress report on Tartan 27 project

Well, we finally have it going! The second time out last summer we broke the coupling that was on the old Farymann. It took several weeks to conjure up something, but it is finally up and running. Manuevering around until electric power while docking is wonderful! Very precise! I have a little vibration, so I must not have the alignment quite right. We traveled for about 45-60 minutes run time, with some sailing between, and had plenty of volts left. We didn't check out speed yet. Maybe this weekend. I went with 3:1 reduction, and am glad I did. The prop is 3 blade, and moves the boat right along down the creek in the no-wake zone with barely any power. So far, so good!
