[Electric Boats] Hmm. Should I buy this never-installed kit from a guy I just met?

 

He's selling:

Mars ME0709 motor
72-volt Quick Charge charger
Kelly #pm24-72-volt 300 amp controller w/ reverse and regen
Reverse contacters
Throttle control
Fuse holder

My boat is a 30-foot monohull sailboat, around 12,000 pounds. He was going to install in a Catalina 30. He's moving instead, selling the boat, too. The price is good, but I don't understand the variables well enough yet to decide if this will work in my boat. Any thoughts?
