just wanted to report that the new SEVCON controller is working very well, with instant forward/reverse switching in particular. we try to avoid this abrupt shift, but it has proven itself well in timely dockside situations.
a new question about propellers -
we still have the old 2-blade prop left from the original diesel engine. there is a distinct lack of power at times in our narrow harbor's strong current. is there a consensus on whether a 3-blade prop (again, a mars 48v brushless in a 27', 5,700 lb sloop) would provide better performance.
any advice?
