The AGMS's are valve-regulated (one way valves) and should be vented similar to standard lead acid. The batteries need to be immobilized one way or another, in all directions, but not necessarily in a battery box (lead acid needs a tray or acid-proof box to catch spilled electrolyte). Terminals need to be protected against short circuit for any battery. And please don't connect anything larger than 6AWG with wing nuts!
