I looked at using Minnkotas, but they were too hard to fair for propeller first operation.
I thought about using the 45# Motorguides that cam with the controllers, but they were much bulkier, which would increase drag and reduce efficiency. A pair of them would also draw enough current to discharge the batteries in about an hour.
