Dan,
Presenting at boat show is really an expensive proposition. I have worked with most of the marine vendors and when we do a show we try to support each other. Tt the Long Beach show we had three vendors sharing a booth. For a marine vendor to do a show think in terms of minimal expenses of $500 to maximum of $5000. We just can not do them all. There are over official 350 boat shows in North America (I have the list). In Missouri there are 4 show. I know that none of the electric marine dealers can afford to attend any of those local shows because of cost and time.
That being said, I am confident that if you and others were interested in sharing your experiences, many local show they would welcome you to demonstrate your boat. To give you an idea of how this works, I am paying for my booth but we have two clients conversion boats in the show for free. They will be there showing their boats and just spending time on he docks like a power boater .
I am also confident that the marine dealer would provide you with a packet of marketing material that you would be able to share. I am absolutely impressed by the creativity and knowledgo of members of this group and know that many sailors would enjoy meeting you.
