Re: [Electric Boats] Electic Propulsion in Southern California - Dana Point Boat Show

Sorry Mike, some of us "way out here in the Ozarks" can't make the event.  Ever thought of something put on in Missouri, ... like Branson (I.E. Table Rock Lake)?  I am only 50+ miles from there...

Subject: [Electric Boats] Electic Propulsion in Southern California - Dana Point Boat Show

This week Electric Yachts of Southern California will be at the Dana Point Boat Show.  We are inviting the owners of any electric boat system to join us. You will likely have an opportunity to speak with a fellow sailor who converted to electric propulsion.  We are displaying electric boats:

·         - Our 1976 Columbia 9.6 – fresh from trophing in the 2014 Newport 2 Ensenada Race

·         -  1970 Alberg 30 – Electric Yacht conversion

·         - 2012 Hunter 27e – Elco yacht

These boat will be displayed as examples of all electric and electric hybrid propulsion.  Show hours are Thursday and Friday noon to 6, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6.  Please let me know if you can join us as I have a limited number of passes.

I would also suggest to all electric boat owners that if you would like to share your experiences with others, beyond this Yahoo group, you can likely contact any local boat show and offer to show and demo your boat.  One day we will not be the "different boats" but you will always be know as the innovators.

Mike
