Donald, I'm using the old golf cart standbys, Trojan 6 volt flooded. I do all my experimenting with these. There getting a little tired but still useable.. The system that I recall was a pretty simple set up that you could use and bypass all the electronics, that's what I want for a backup.. I know I wasn't imaging this system, maybe someone else will recall it and point me in the right direction. Maybe Eric or Myles will remember?? I recall seeing a schematic but I've searched all my saved posts from here as reference and must have not saved it..

Sorry to say I can not help with your request about who made the bus bar controller, However, you mentioned 6vdc batteries, I am working on designing such a system myself and I really would like to know where you find the best deal on said , 6vdc batteries, someone else has steered me to consider individual 2v cells as an alternative, but the 6 v batteries I see specked out are much more powerful than the alternatives I have found so far anyway. Could you recommend a supplier for the 6 v batteries ?

If I recall sometime ago someone in the group made a busbar type of arrangement to control voltage as a speed control for their system not using the normal electronic controller, or proposed anyway, can't remember exactly.. I would like to make such a system for a backup since I use 6 volt batteries in my 48 volt system on one of my boats. Can someone point me in that direction..
