I am planning the electrification of a small motor boat (Bella 530), with little access to mains power, so mainly dependent on on-board solar energy. Therefore the efficiency of the system is important to me. Torqeedo claims a maximum efficiency of 56% without any information about the conditions under which this was measured. Has any of you determined the efficiency of this motor in practical conditions? My boat is 5.30 meter long, will weigh about 600 kilogram, and I am interested in speeds from 5 to 7 kilometer/hour.
