The boat was designed to perform with a 75 to 115hp outboard and has a deep V hull. This is what my 48v computer model shows with a motor system up to 5kW (a 24v system would perform with the same wattage:
5.1 40 1920 5.9 60 2880 6.4 80 3840 6.9 100 4800 Hull speed 5.19
Seems like a quality motor above 2kW would serve you well with your stated 5 to 7 kph with some reserve power. Not sure what you mean by efficiency as the rated power of the motor should perform as advertised.
